Gix is visited by a dream of a mystical forest, where the Prince of the Eclipse, Bill, presides, shifting form with ease and grace. Surrounded by dancing foxes whose laughter echoes like bells, Bill beckons Gix to a clearing where the tree of life stands tall. Within its trunk, the Archfey Balthazar emerges, a celestial being of immense power, their dark presence towering with antlers as large as the darkness that they emit. The full moon rises, casting eerie shadows and illuminating Balthazar's eyes like twin suns. The winds pick up, and with them the storm of chaos, a maelstrom of destruction and rebirth. Six shadowy figures push through the brush, weapons drawn, and a swirling ball of chaos being carried in their arms, wrested from the arms of a winged mother.
The dream continues, showing Gix visions of a world in turmoil, a battlefield of light and darkness. An Aarakocra with gleaming feathers attempts to betray a shadowed figure, a Dragonborn trapped in another dimension roars through the void as its obsidian scales glimmer in vast starlight, and an old friend trapped in a sword cries for release. A descendant is held against their will, a tree growing from their gut. And huddled masses, their spirits broken, are held up by a single being of light.
Gix's mind's eye also witnesses a Paladin, their armor shining like the sun, falling through an upward flowing waterfall, their journey a mystery. In the shadows, the Shadow Lord lurks, a being of darkness and fear, who is engaged in a battle with a mysterious creature. The fate of all rests in the balance as they clash, their power resonating through the dreamscape.
