Bigsby's Dream

Bigsby drifted off, feeling like they were floating in a dark void. They heard the distant sound of whispers and felt a chill run down their spine. Suddenly, they were transported to a vast and empty space, with a pulsing red sun in the distance.

They saw the Heroes of Stone standing on a faraway planet, waving at them with concerned expressions. But as they tried to reach them, they were pulled down by an invisible force, sinking deeper and deeper into the darkness.

Bigsby felt like they were falling forever, with no end in sight. But then they noticed a faint light in the distance, and they felt a glimmer of hope. They swam towards the light, feeling like they were moving through thick molasses.

As they approached, they saw a figure standing in front of a giant door, with flames licking at its edges. The figure turned around, revealing itself to be Balhadar, their eyes glowing like embers.

Bigsby's heart raced as they realized that something was wrong. They tried to turn around and run, but their feet were stuck in place. Balhadar stepped closer, their shadow stretching across the floor like a giant spider.

Suddenly, the door burst open with a deafening roar, and a flood of black water poured out. Bigsby felt themselves being swept away by the tide, feeling like they were drowning in a sea of despair.

As they struggled to keep their head above water, they saw the Heroes of Stone floating around them, their faces twisted in agony. They reached out to them, but their hands passed through their body like smoke.

Then they saw others floating by, each calling out to Bigsby for help. The people of her old town drowned one by one as Bigsby was unable to save them.

On the shore Bigsby saw her old professor, screaming in agony, calling out to them. With each scream, parts of his body began to fall off as if rotting off the bone.

Bigsby screamed for help, but their voice was lost in the cacophony of roaring water and desperate whispers. They felt themselves being dragged under, feeling like they were being swallowed by a giant beast.

As they slid down the beast's gullet they landed on a soft, spongy ground. Bigsby tried to use their fire breath but found that instead of flame, they could only produce more of the inky black liquid that now filled their lungs.

Around them were the ruins of multiple worlds. There was suddenly a boom of thunder, and a flash of lightning. And they saw the silhouette of the tower of Sunclaw.

With a jolt, Bigsby woke up, gasping for air, the howling of wind coming from outside the Library doors. They could swear they still tasted the ink.
