Reinhardt stands at the Northern Gate of Four Roads, staring down the thugs that had formed a front. At his feet lay a few bloodied bodies, a few still groaning before fading into unconsciousness. The Guard from the gate stands at his side, ready.
He adjusts the grip on his Warhammer, and scratches his chest nonchalantly before yelling out.
"Ye best be smart about yer next move," he says, his voice booming like it hadn't for years. "I'd hate for ye all to end up like this lot here. My hammer hasn't soaked in blood for years, but if ye cross this line into my town, then it'll drink."
There are some murmurs making their way through Sawyn's forces.
"They've come here at my request," a familiar voice calls out from behind Reinhardt. Mayorson walks up, his wife standing behind him. "I feared our town was being overthrown by vandals not loyal to those who rule these parts. And that it started at the top, by the wanted criminals Beatrice the Immovable and Reinhardt the Boulder."
"You've turned on yer own mother," Reinhardt growls. "We raised ye to be better than that. Then this lass comes to town, and what... We're all beneath ye. She's poisoned you. You've always had yer troubles son, but I didn't think you'd go this far."
Mayorson's wife steps closer to Mayorson and holds his hand.
"Don't you call me son, and don't you talk about Sundew that way," Mayorson snaps back. "My father died because of you, and now he will have his revenge. And I will have my town back."
He makes a motion towards Sawyn's forces, and a volley of arrows makes their way into the town. Reinhardt sidesteps the attacks, but the Guard takes one to the side. As the second volley arrives, some of the arrows are lit on fire, and they start to light the buildings on fire.
"W-wait! You're burning the buildings," Mayorson yells while stepping forward and waving his arms. "You were just supposed to take them in!"
"Mayorson! Get down!" Reinhardt yells and tackles him to the ground as an arrow flies through the space his face was just occupying. "Ye bloody fool. They don't give a rat's arse about ye. Now that they know there's chaos, they'll kill us all and make the survivors beg for their order."
Mayorson catches his breath and pushes himself out from under Reinhardt, who pushes himself back up and squares off against the invading forces. Just as they're about to charge forward, the plants and grass of the area start to grow wildly, slowing down the approach of the front line as they begin to trip over each other. Urinlana rides up to them all as she finishes casting.
"Zat should slow zem down for now," she says as she brandishes her own weapons. "What is ze plan?"
Sundew grabs Mayorson and starts pulling him back to their house, as Reinhardt watches them. His nose twitches as he catches a scent off her that he never quite noticed. That's a problem for later, he thinks to himself.
"Alright lass, drop off the Guard here in front of the Inn," Reinhardt says, helping the Guard onto her back. "Then get back to yer place and grab some of 'em potions ye been making. Get the good ones to people that need 'em."
Urinlana nods and rides off for the Inn as Reinhardt gets himself into a battle stance. He hasn't been called The Boulder in many years, and he's not sure how much of him is left under these old and weathered muscles. But he'll summon every last bit of him to make his stand here.
"Bea...," he says quietly as his fingers tighten around the handle of his hammer. "I hope you're safe."
